One of Knitting Circle's most popular classes, the Pick Your Project class is exactly what it sounds like. Bring a project of your choice to class and Tina is right there to help you through any tricky spots. Choose the day that works best for your schedule.

This is also a great opportunity to choose a project that offers new challenges! Never done lace? Never made a sweater? This is your chance to give it a try!

All About Short Rows

Sat., April 28, 1-4pm

Level: Intermediate and up

Class Fee: $30

Eliminate the fear of short rows by learning 4 different types of short rows. We will cover the traditional wrap and turn, german short rows, Japanese short rows, and shadow stitch short rows. You will also learn how to “pick up the wrap” in the next row. This will give you more options when you are doing the next project that has this technique. Pattern will be provided in class.

Supply List:

75 yards worsted weight yarn (#4),

US #7 needles circular or straight. We will be knitting the piece flat, and not in the round.

Bavarian Twisted Mitts/Milkweed Mitts

Sat., May 5, 1-4pm

Level: Intermediate and up

Class Fee: $30

This class will literally raise your knitting to new heights! Learn how to create beautiful textured mittens with raised stitches - a technique that can liven up any future knitting project.·

Supply List:

200 yards DK weight yarn

US# 2 and US# 4 double points or preferred circular knitting method

 

Fixing Lace and Cable Mistakes

Sat., May 12, 1-4pm

Level: Intermediate and up

Class Fee: $30

Not all projects go according to plan, especially more complicated patterns like lace and cables. Missing yarn overs, decreases done in the wrong place, cables crossing in the wrong direction - these are just a few of the common hurdles that even the most experienced knitter encounters on a regular basis. Learn how to find and correct these types of mistakes - often without having to rip out entire sections of painstaking work!

Homework needs to be completed before this class.

Supply List:

50-75 yds worsted (#4) weight yarn, smooth and light colored is best.

US #6 and US #7 circular needles, also one set of double point needles in the same size.
